TUTORING

In the new educational landscape resulting from COVID-19, many students are struggling to perform at their full potential. Learning completely online detracts from the ability of younger students to build the educational foundation that higher education relies on. Many of these problems stem from students not being computer independent and students not being able to receive 1-on-1 attention. These issues are most prominent in students from elementary to middle school as they are still developing. Thankfully even during this pandemic there is an opportunity for high school and college students to lend a helping hand to these younger students. Through a hybrid approach of both virtual and/or in-person tutoring we hope to help those struggling with this new style of learning catch up. Currently tutors are only meeting with students virtually but as we expand this program and secure the proper PPE and testing we hope to move to allow those who are comfortable with it to meet in person in a socially distanced setting.

HELPING HEALTHCARE WORKERS

Our healthcare workers are fighting a courageous battle against COVID-19. They are showing the world the true heroes they are with every action they take. However, even our heroes need some help from time to time. We plan to help our healthcare providers at our local hospitals by funding dinners, covering transportation costs, buying Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and helping in whatever way they need. Since we ourselves work at the local ambulance corps. we have connections at The Valley Hospital and Hackensack University Medical Center and plan on leveraging this to find the most effective to help our heroes!

HELPING FIRST RESPONDERS

In these unprecedented times caused by COVID-19, our first responders are facing an unprecedented task. Police, EMS, and Fire departments are being stretched to the limit. We plan to help our first responders at our local ambulance corps and police departments by supplying food and helping fund much-needed equipment. Speaking from a first-hand point of view, first responders are running dangerously low on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gowns, gloves, N95 masks, and goggles and could use all the financial support we can give them to stay stocked up on these vital pieces of equipment. We are asking for donations to this project so that we can help our local ambulance corps. – Tri-Boro Volunteer Ambulance Corps. – and our local police departments. These donations will help keep our first responders ready and safe to do their incredibly difficult jobs. Help us help the brave men and women who put themselves at risk to keep our community safe!
